D-Chiro-Inositol, or DCI, is a substance naturally occurring in the body that is also used as a supplement. It belongs to the inositol family, which are usually classified as B vitamins. DCI is a signaling substance that plays an important role in insulin metabolism. Insulin is a hormone that is involved in blood sugar levels.

In small amounts, you can get DCI from buckwheat, chickpeas or pumpkin, for example. But you can also easily get it in larger amounts via supplements. DCI is used in nutritional supplements to support the natural balance in the body of women.
